The strategy of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” in service sector is aimed at providing competitive service, development of new oil services demanded in Kazakhstan market through the transfer of technologies and/or establishment of joint ventures, promotion of innovative potential, development of the onshore infrastructure for sea oil operations support in Kazakhstan sector of Caspian sea.

North Caspian Environmental Oil Spills Response Base (NCERB), which is owned by KMG Systems & Services LLP, is currently a strategic object of the service infrastructure of oil operations support in the Caspian Sea, as well as a unique specialized facility to respond to oil spills (OSR) of the 1st and 2nd levels.
In August 2013, KMG Systems & Services LP and NC Production Operations Company B.V. (NCPOC) - the operator of the Kashagan project - concluded a long-term lease agreement of NCERB for 10 years.
Principal activities of the NCERB are as follows:
response to the oil spill in the North Caspian Sea (mainly Kashagan field);
storage, maintenance and management of the necessary equipment;
training center for training of emergency personnel on the use of response equipment;
rehabilitation of animals, victims of the oil spills;
environmental and meteorological monitoring (in the future).
Elimination of oil spills of the third level (starting 250 tons) is a wide range of activities with the involvement of domestic and international resources, not only for the elimination of oil spill, but also for firefighting, wells killing, emergency evacuation, etc. in case of elimination of third level oil spills, Kashagan field operator organizes and, accordingly, decides to attract specialized international organizations such as Oil Spill Response Limited.
On April 6, 2012 the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (No 422) approved the "National Plan for the Prevention of oil spills and response at sea and inland waters of the Republic of Kazakhstan", whose main purpose is to ensure the organization in a prompt, effective and efficient way of response to oil spills, and performance of corresponding operations on the elimination of their consequences.
According to the National Plan, the measures for the elimination of the third level oil spills are coordinated by the National Commission on oil spills response.
The main objective of TenizService LLP is to create an infrastructure to support offshore oil operations in the Kazakhstan sector of Caspian Sea, ensuring its effective operation and the receipt of income from these activities.
The main objective of KMG Drilling & Services LLP is to create a national drilling service company providing drilling and integrated services based on international standards; work is underway to ensure the entry into large oil and gas projects.
The main objective of Direction of the Enterprises under construction LLP is the control and management of the implementation of the project "Construction of shipbuilding/ship repair plant in Kuryk village" under the terms of the Cooperation Agreement between KMG and the Italian company Eni.
NC KazMunayGas JSC in cooperation with the Russian company Sputnik-Integration LLC created AktauOilMash LLP company.
The production at the territory of KPI (Aktau city) with the production area of 25,000 sq.m. has been started. On the territory of SEZ "Seaport Aktau", there is a land plot of 10 hectares for the construction of a new plant allocated.
At AktauOilMash LLP base, the production of equipment was started where there is a demand from the oil and gas companies.
The construction of the second and third sites of the plant (Zhanaozen, Atyrau) and the diversification of oil and gas equipment production aimed at the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan are planned.
It is planned to increase the output to full capacity for the needs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the output for export.
KMG Automation LLP Joint Venture
NC KazMunayGas JSC represented by a subsidiary company KMG Systems&Services LLP and Schneider Electric company - one of the world leaders in the field of energy management and industrial automation, have created a joint venture - KMG Automation LLP. The new joint venture, using local staff, plans to develop and implement world-class projects in process automation for various industries of Kazakhstan and, above all, oil and gas industry.
The main objective of the joint venture is to develop the local capacity and the deployment of the local assembly of various systems in the field of industrial automation, software and energy management in Kazakhstan. It is expected that KMG Automation will provide the domestic industry with innovative solutions to increase efficiency and production safety.
