In 2017, a Compliance Service was established in JSC NC “KazMunayGas”. The Compliance Service is an independent structural unit, organizationally subordinate and functionally accountable to the Board of Directors of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”. The main purpose of its activity is to comply with the mandatory regulatory requirements and international best practices on anti-corruption and the formation of the internal corporate culture of the JSC NC “KazMunayGas” group, in order to ensure transparency, honesty among employees, as well as to create conditions for conducting business in accordance with best international standards, internal policies and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Compliance Service considers complaints received by the Confidential Reporting Hotline, to which interested parties may report any violations of the Code of Business Ethics, including corruption, discrimination, unethical behavior and other violations. The Head of Compliance provides an annual report to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors of the Company on an annual basis and provides quarterly reports on the appeals received by the hotline.
